Family Holiday Values
Almost everyone can agree that in today’s world, we are all so busy that it leaves our head spinning. As a result we get to spend much less time with our loved ones and friends. Kids are either swamped with school and after school activities or away at college and parents are equally busy. Looking towards this year’s holiday season is different. This year’s average consumer demand during the season will probably not boost the economy as much as it normally would. There is no doubt that a recession is on the horizon. Yet, people need not panic. The holiday season, and especially Christmas bring families together. Perhaps this holiday season, we can concentrate on a family holidays and family values rather than just materialism. In fact, for many households, this may be a good thing. Call me crazy, but I think spending more time together with loved ones can do wonders for family relationships. In the end, the United States economy will pull through. I have faith in that. Yet, it is more important to have faith in our values, and I think that the holiday season is a perfect time to reignite those dear values.
